Title: PSC speed taps
Post by: Heisenberg on April 24, 2016, 08:17:15 AM
I am installing a a/c coil into a oversized gas furnace. I have sized the coil based on the duct work sizing, amd based on my static pressure and using the blower performance chart I have determined I only need the blower on low in cooling. I also need low speed for the first stage heat. My question is: can I run a lead off both the "heat-low" and "cool" speed taps on the ifc and connect to the low lead?  Only one tap should ever be energized at any given time so I dont see why I could not; just wanted some confirmation before frying a board

Don't see any issue with that.As any given time only one speed will be energized.I saw the York does that on higher BTU furnace.they run the heat and cool on same highest speed.
