Title: damper wont open on rnc155
Post by: george on December 24, 2016, 10:09:00 AM
Hi there, I'm at wits end and have been running two dehumidifiers in my house for a month.
I have a one year old lifebreath RNC 155.  Damper will open on self test at startup, but then stays closed. Replaced the control board and auto transformer but did not help.  Can I reboot the Damper motor control somehow?
Thanks!

This scares me because I've seen chimney downdraft causing flue gases to spill directly into the house, the result was high humidity in the house in the winter !!!!
Do you have a CO detector?

Did you get this solved?
The controller initiates a defrost cycle immediately after self test.  If you want to verify operation, tape the door switch on and watch the unit. Will take about 20 minutes to complete.
Verify that the intake and exhaust port screens are clear!
