Multiple HRV installation
« on: December 25, 2015, 02:21:22 PM »
I recently built a two level home with basement with latest Venmar AVS E15 HRV.  The entire house uses floor radiant heating.

The home is 2800 sq ft with self contained basement suite.  Not sure if installation was not good but a bunch of the joints before drywall was not taped.  Anyway, my current setup, a lot of the vents I could not feel any air movement; especially in the basement in the self enclosed suite.  Vents in the top floor especially near where HRV (located on top floor) has strong to noticeable air movement.

My question is that, I am thinking about building a similar house in near future.  Can I have one smaller dedicated HRV in basement while keeping other big HRV on the top level serving 2 floors?  Is it possible to install 2 HRVs in the house ?

Yes, you can install 2 HRVs in the house with a partial connection.
