Hazard identified

The flue gas baffle used inside the heat exchanger assembly may become dislodged due to a mechanical fastener slipping, causing higher than normal flue gas temperatures to enter the flue gas collector and the venting system resulting in the F1 fault. The venting system may melt and cause the flue gases to escape into the house posing a risk of fire and increased carbon monoxide levels.

Viessmann Manufacturing has received 10 reports of incidents involving the boilers. Seven of these have been reported from Canada. No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents.

Approximately 141 units were sold in Canada and around 165 units were distributed in the United States.
