636 vs royal ??

Both are schedule 40 correct ?? Yet different temp ratings ..??

Both IPEX and Royal GVS are ULC S636 approved.

IPEX PVC and Royal GVS-65 are good up to 65C.

IPEX CPVC and Royal GVS-90 are good up to 90C. 

All venting is schedule 40 and fittings schedule 80.

Always use IPEX as they are a Canadian company

Clause 8.9.6 - Vents constructed using plastic piping shall be certified to ULC S636.

The appliance installation manual will tell you if either ULC S636 PVC or CPVC Schedule 40 venting must be used.

I always use ipex when I install but a Canadian company and its more expensive than the rest. Go figure! Lol
