Whats a typical setpoint to set the dehum at for the summer?
What kind of dehumidifier system is installed? Usually 30-50%RH is a good place to be.
It just uses the air conditioner with the blower at a reduced speed. I've been told before that 50-60% is good for the summer, but I'm not sure how correct that is.
I'm sure it varies customer to customer with different comfort levels and health issues as well as what kind of furniture/flooring they have and its general requirements. I would imagine a person who has dry eye problems would not want dehumidifying at 30%... I find 50% feels pretty dry.

I've never used dehumidification settings before. I've only installed single stage AC's but I scanned through the CTK03 manual and I see what you're saying about reduced airflow. Does this work well with a single stage AC, or does it just overshoot the cooling setpoint and make the house feel cold?
It would be a good option to use for people with ECM blowers and oversized AC's if it works.

I always undersize an AC rather than oversize. This seems to solve any humidity problems. A properly sized AC should maintain 40 - 50% on it's own. I imagine if you're dehumidification setpoint was at 60%, it would hardly get used.
I put a 1.5ton in my 1800 sqft house. I have not run the A/C enough this year to see how the humidity has acted yet.
