Which natural gas leak detectors does everyone use and would you recommend it?

I use the TPi 712 as a diagnostic tool,

Or if you mean installed detectors in the home, I like Kidde detectors,

I ended up purchasing the Bacharach Leakator 10.
It is a solid unit and so far has proven to be quite accurate and reliable, even with the slightest gas leak.

You probably made a good decision not buying TPi.  I get this POS calibrated once a year and rarely use it, yet everytime I switch to gas leak detection it locks out with an error.
