Title: techician/installers tool responsibilities
Post by: mattmctree on November 17, 2012, 08:55:26 AM
Just curious if I could get some input on this subject. When I started with the company I work for employees were responsible for hand tools, if these tools wore out on the job the companyv replaced them, is this normal? Now we have been told that all hand tools, drills, flaring tools, manometers, multimeters, pressurer guages. Saws vent cutters and who knows what else is all our responsibility. What is everyone opinion on that? Also most people at the company I work seem to have sticky fingers and my tools walk off quite a bit , short of breaking fingers I'm not sure how to handle this.
Thanks

We supply all our own tools, except for the big pipe threaders and sewer machines.  If we break our tools, they are replaced by the business.  Buy a lock.
