Hey guys, any idea where to purchase a thermocouple test adapter such as the Robertshaw 10-038?
I can't seem to find anyone in Canada.
I know Wolseley carries the TPI A115 model but I prefer the Robertshaw.
Thanks,
George
Your best bet is to order it online or thru your local wholesaler.
Thanks I should be receiving it next week. ;D
Got it and tested it out last night. Went to service a couple fireplaces. On the first one, it was a little bit of a pain to get the adapter in as the thermocouple was behind the gas valve. A little tricky getting it in and out but managed.
I was tempted not to use it and just do the blow out the pilot light and count the seconds instead or perform an open circuit test. I guess the open circuit test would also prove the strength of the thermocouple but that can also prove to be tricky with only 2 hands.
The second fireplace though was a piece of cake.
The person who designs those fireplaces should be shot LoL
I don't mind changing thermopiles, but some of those thermocouples can be a real pain to access!
