Is the company sold? There was something in Aug 2012 about that.
PS. Haven't been around long time.
You're right! I wasn't aware Daikin bought them.
I found this Aquisition Document - Here (http://www.hvactechgroup.com/files/daikingoodman.pdf)
It looks like Daikin will improve Goodmans technology so they can compete with the premium class of furnaces.
You're a real Daikin fan EvilMonkey ;D
I'm not a big fan. Just happen to work with their equipment for few years (installing/servicing). I know the quality and performance, especially machines build in Japan. Have some experience with servicing VRF from Mitsubishi, also good system but, a little bit different from VRV (Daikin). I've an experience with American brands (Goodman, Heil, Rheem, Lennox and few other brands which we did not install but had to service some times).
Now, I am back in America and I am looking to get a grip of a situation again.
So far I am stuck with your papers requirements and dividing all abilities you have to know (f.e. Daikin Residential hydronics solutions) in 3 different fields : Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration Mechanic. In all of them you need separate certifications and separate years of experience. With further dividing to PLC, VFD, electronics etc. I think you will be 60 and still doing necessary papers. So I have to choose what I want to do.
I'm sorry just a little depressed with all papers bu*****.
Thanks for info about Goodman. I hope they will not loose their biggest advantage = price. :D
I thought Amana, Goodman and Carrier were the same. Lennox is the real McCoy.
