Hi
When using this material you must have a ticket from the manufacturer of the brand to work on it, is this correct?
I have a Track-pipe ticket my son has a Gastite ticket, last week at a hook-up we find a different brand so I tell the customer we can-not work on it, he was ok when I explained that we will not ever work on something we are not 'licensed' for.
How many brands are there out there? They all tell you that only there fitting's can be used on there pipe.
Is there not an organisation out there that can do some thing about this? C.S.A or the T.S.S.A. apart from being ridiculous it also seems like a recipe for disaster.

The TSSA has no choice but to follow the manufacturer's requirements. You're right, most manufacturer's of CSST require that installers complete training to become certified to use their product, however most wholesalers will sell you the CSST without checking your certification because it's not illegal to buy and sell it without certification, you just can't install it.
I know of the following manufacturer's of CSST;
Gastite / Flashield
Tracpipe / Counterstrike
Wardflex / Wardflex II
Beware of additional upstream bonding requirements when using Gastite, Tracpipe or Wardflex. You may want to use Flashield, Counterstrike or Wardflex II in order to avoid these additional bonding requirements.
