Title: HRV 3055 Compact
Post by: tjlongeway on September 14, 2013, 07:14:47 AM
Have standard Flair Humidistat wall control.

~ as of late the motor in hrv runs constantly.

As you turn humidity level selector, you hear a click,

but as you turn level selector to the left, motor stays on were as usually turned off.

~  their are four wires from Humidistat to hrv unit.

I would disconnect the wire from the dehumidistat to the unit, if it stops, bad stat or pinched wire. Disconnect wire at stat., if it stops bad stat,
If it continues to run with wire disconnected, I would suspect bad solid state board.

Yes, those wires.  Just unplug the HRV and disconnect those wires from the HRV like Trainerguy mentioned.  That method will help pinpoint the problem.

Hello,

I disconnected the wires, then pluged the  hrv into receptacle.

Motor still runs, must be the electronic board, eh.

~ HRV is 21 years old, would that age of unit be worth repairing ?

The board number is 13038, having problems locating one.

regards,
T.J.

That part should be available from Redmond Williams.  Or the client could purchase it online and have you install it,

That HRV was probably part of a recall,
