What should the dip switch on the gmv 2 stage ecm goodman be set for the lowest cfm on the heat low stage be ... Thanks ...Bill
Download the Goodman GMVC95 manual - Here (http://www.hvactechgroup.com/files/GMVC95.pdf).
See pages 29, 41 and 42.
If the control board dip switches are still in the default position Switch Bank S4 #7=ON and #8=OFF.
That's a Profile B heating fan speed setting. Turn dip switch #7=OFF to set the heating speeds to Profile A, the lowest fan speed setting.
Switch Bank S3 dip switch #3 and #4 should be in the OFF position for a NORMAL Profile. Turn dip switch #4=ON to decrease all airflow by -10%, a Profile C. Make sure you check the model number and AC size and verify the cooling speed, with a 10% airflow reduction, will still have enough CFM for cooling.
I would also double check the Switch Bank S1 and verify dip switch #3 is either set ON for a 2 stage thermostat or OFF for a single stage thermostat.
Make sure to verify the temperature rise is within range.
I was working on one of these the other day and the installation manual did not correspond to the furnace control board at all. I was trying to set air flow and 2-stage timing, and the dip switches in the manual were totally different than the control board. I looked at the gmv95 and the gmvc95 manual, both didnt correspond to the board that the gmv furnace I was working on had in it.
I forgot about the GMV95 version before the GMVC95. It had a jumper selection pin you had to move to set the staging.
I did notice the GMVC95 switched it to a dip switch but their manual showed off and on opposite of where on was printed on the control board. I've also found the sticker installed upside down on the green low voltage removable terminal block. That caused some wiring confusion.
correct only this gmv did not have the usual jumper to select the staging, but the manual shows it there. it had only 2 separate 4 dip switch banks.
