I'm starting a new career as I'm being released from the military after 13 years. Anything I should know going into the course?
I've been an aircraft mechanic and flight engineer so I have a pretty good grasp on technical drawings, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, liquid fuels, weight and balance etc. Any math I should be looking at?
If anyone has a new codebook link that'd also be appreciated the old link isn't working for me.

An aircraft mechanic and flight engineer? You'll be falling asleep with the math side of the G3 training. It's simple formula's and knowing the basic ohms law triangle and power formula's for electricity. There's some other formula's for piping and clocking the gas meter, but they should all be easy to grasp for you.
You will want the 2010 codebook, but it's kind of a pain the ass since they're supposed to release the new 2015 edition of the codebook at any second... You will absolutely need the propane storage and handling and code books as they're essential for knowing your way through them to pass the exam.
