Title: Exam Content
Post by: kaos on March 22, 2016, 09:56:53 AM
Hello everyone,

I am hearing fro a number of people that the exam questions on the 313D exam are in fact 313A content.  Walk in cooler, chillers, and hoisting type questions?

Is this true?  If so has anyone challenged OCOT with respect to this content?

Thanks!

I hope that's not true, cause I'm looking to challenge it soon. If so, I'd expect to be given a 313A instead of a 313D for writing that exam. The  313D itself is quite self explanatory with "Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic".... Up to 5 tons? or 60 amps or something?

It's very clear you can't work on that type of equipment, so they have no business putting any questions about chillers, or walk in coolers on the exam.

The Training Standards are on the OCOT website and are very specific.
If it's in the Training Standard, it could be on the CofQ.
