Is there any difference for outdoor/indoor gas shut off valve?Only diff i can see is one has longer handle in the outdoor application.Any code reference that we have to use only long handle shut off valve outdoor.Sometimes utility company tag for it.

After re-reading your post not sure the link is relevant. Some inspectors insist on the stainless ball valve for outdoor. The best thing to do is get the spec sheet from the wholesaler you buy from to verify it is approved for outdoor use then you can present that and you are good to go. Just make sure it is stamped 3.16 CGA
