Our client is a major distributor of produce to grocery chains around Ontario.
They are currently in search of a Chief of Operation – Refrigeration for their plant in Blue Mountains.
Compensation: $50,000 plus bonus after probation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Refrigeration Class B/4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate
Knowledge required in diagnosing electrical systems.
Knowledge in all aspects of general maintenance
Valid Vehicle driver's License
Work within 7 days per week, also on-call required.
Lift truck Operators certificate:
Communicate effectively with Management and Staff
DUTIES
Refrigeration :
- Maintenance and Operation of storage Facility Seal, open, and monitor C/A rooms as required.
Compressor room checks. Readings to be performed at least three times per shift. First daily check, include hour readings.
Receive Refrigeration Alarms and respond to repair as required.
Monitor David Bishop and Oxy-stat.
Check evaporators for ice, apply required action.
Drain oil from receiver at least once per week or as required.
Keep compressor room, electrical room, and storage facility clean
Perform water test every Monday, Check T.D.S. daily.
Add bromine pucks as required, at water-cooling tank.
Plant Maintenance:
- Oversee all operations of plant maintenance including supervision of maintenance staff.
Co-ordinate work to be completed, as well as, providing costs to Controller and President.
Implements a Preventative Program and follow-up with employees.
Provide cost effective solutions towards improving efficiencies at the plant
Works toward reducing repair and labor costs.
