Friend of mine says his ductless split condensation is not catching in drain pan and leaks onto wall. I haven't had the chance to look at it yet but would love some opinions or suggestions on what to check or/and what to do.

It could be as simple as a blocked drain line or there could be a refrigerant leak causing the indoor coil to ice up and leak water.
I ran in to one of these last week, 4th tech there in the last 2 weeks, the previous 3 techs all thought clogged condensate and blew it out with nitrogen.
Turned out to be the drain line ran out the wall about 15ft, complete with a couple dips in the line, essentially creating a double trap, I added an air vent to the drain about a ft below where it exits the wall and re routed the drain line to not have dips.
no more condensate back up and customer is happy.
