I am going for my G3 at the moment, and also going straight into my g2 right after. That being said, my teacher thinks that his BBQ methods are superior to NG. Now, he uses charcoal as a way to heat his meat or whatever he's cooking. I, on the other hand have a NG supplied BBQ.
My question to you all, is, What is worse for you in terms of incomplete combustion and where does smoldering a carbon product beat out a bunson flame?
In terms of food taste, charcoal in a smoker wins. Especially if referring to a product like the big green egg. Flavor cannot be beat with any propane or natural gas bbq.
I would imagine the charcoal is worse for you in terms of combustion since it's clearly a dirtier flame. But perfect combustion and the taste of food are different things.
