Title: Purchasing gas and oil code books ( B149.1 and B139 )
Post by: FurnaceFellow1988 on October 01, 2017, 09:42:45 AM
I have a inspection with TSSA coming up and I need the latest versions of code books.  I currently have the 149.1-10 and the B139-09.  Do I really have to buy the new 149.1-15 for $245.00 and then buy the amendments for it for $79.00?  Seems insane.

Same thing for the oil code book.  I have to buy the B139-15 for $210.00 and then buy the amendments for $30.00?

Am I understanding this correct? Anyone have any good options for me? or is this a bullet I need bite...

Its probably a bullet you need to bite.  You're going to need it going forward anyways.  Its a money grab that's for sure, and you wouldn't want to be caught without an up to date code book.  I'm sure its an expense you can write off anyways so you'll get some of the back come tax time.
