Title: G2 limitations - pipe under 2" but main line is welded
Post by: G.P. on March 24, 2018, 03:19:22 PM
As a licensed G2 fitter, are we able to go into a facility that has welded pipe on their main supply and work on the branch supply lines (under 2") serving appliances under 400K BTU?
I.E. Replacing a hot water tank, or adding a new one to a branch line under 2"?

Yes. G2 limitations are appliance input not size or type of piping.
Even a G3 can work on piping up to 2" under general supervision.
