Title: Where should this hose be ??
Post by: wantboost on January 23, 2020, 08:42:49 PM
Should this hose be in the bowl to the right or directly in the drain to the left.  What are the other small houses for ??

That looks fine.  The P-trap fills with water then overflows into the opening on the left.  The small tubes connect inside the furnace for drainage.

Theres some rust forming . Should I change the p trap or is this normal . Theres rust on the inside like its leaking a it and along the seems where the upper and lower furnace door meet

The P-trap fittings and tubes are all plastic and should not rust.  Just take it all apart and clean them out.  Maybe the smaller black plastic tubes aren't connected properly inside the furnace and leaking onto the blower deck.  Just clean the rust off with some sand cloth and monitor things.

Likely that's just dirt you see in the P-trap and drain lines.

Looks like an amana or goodman furnace most likely leaking at the condensate collector
