Is it any good or any issues ??
We install close to 1000 of the 12 and 17 gallon models every year. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had to fix one over the last five years.
They come with an upgraded plastic water line approved for both hot and cold water so you don't have to waste money on copper if you use hot water. The installation manual also says the humidistat only needs to be 6 inches above the humidifier which is a lot less than other brands and makes tight installs easier.
Cant find literature on sqft recommendations

For 1000 sqft what would u recommend. Is there that much difference in price
Do u guys usually install on hot water or cold?

Hot will evaporate faster. It won't work on hot if there is a tankless water heater and I don't like storage type tanks due to the possibility of bacteria. That's why it's best to just install the right size humidifier and use cold water. It should only activate with heating and the hot air will evaporate the cold water.
Its 1000 sqft 2 floor condo tight constructionwhich model should i get from that chart .
Also can I tie into condesate drain or run another line to sewer?
Its okastic pipping should I sharbite be use with a shut off or is there something else ?

I tee into existing drain lines all the time.
The saddle valve that comes with the humidifier is approved to be installed on PEX, it's just illegal according to the Ontario Building Code. I would crimp in a tee and use a 1/4" shut off valve, or use a Sharkbite fitting.
I ll put a tee in just incase for insurance reasons there's a unit below . !?!
So its a tight house 9ft ceiling 1000sqft . Go woth the -12? The -17 will be less effective ??

The HCWB3-12K part #Y3681 is more than large enough.
Thx for the help . Gets pretty dru in there about 20 rh in the winter. I. Curious if you put the over sized unit what will be the difference.

You should have no problems if you go with the larger model. The water bill may be a little higher though.

Thats the return line from the air handler is it ok to add the valve there and or will it affect the system?
Where I wanna mount it is 12 " wide. Manual days its 12 7/8 wide, but is that just the exterior cover any idea how wide the mounting plate is ?
