I'm reading the simplified method and furnace interlock method for Vanee 60H+ ERV. I'm thinking of using Vanee Lite Touch Bronze control on intermittent mode which will simply turn on the ERV on low speed for 20 mins, every hour. Due to interlock this will also start the furnace blower fan. All Good.
What about if the furnace decides to run (for either cooling or heating purposes) would it then in turn star the ERV? Or will the ERV be like "nah, I'm good, I did my 20 mins so I'm on my brake now".
If the furnace fans runs, and the ERV does not, is that an issue? Or will the ERV close off its ports when not in operation, effectively blocking the the air from transiting thought the unit.
Thanks!
Calls for heating or cooling would be independent of the ERV and would not start the ERV if either were running. Only the ERV controller would start the ERV and then start the furnace fan. It's possible the system could be in heating or cooling and the furnace fan already running when the HRV starts to run.
There would be a damper that closes when the ERV is not running.
