I have a Trane 2 1/2 ton unit.
I have a condensate leak right at the point the metal drip pan interfaces with a plastic transition piece to the condensate drain. It is in the corner. It does not appear to be rusted, but the gasket or sealant has failed in that corner (I think gasket).
I can't figure out how to get the plastic piece out in order to remove the entre pan assembly. Any thoughts.
Any other ideas to stop the leak.

It looks like there's a union you can undo and spin the fitting counterclockwise to remove it, or cut the white PVC.
Thank you the input. I'm not sure taking that off will help. The black piece it attached to is what needs to be removed in order to remove the plastic pan that is attached to the main metal pan. It's the transition between the metal and plastic pan is where it;s leaking.
does anyone thing slicone RTV may work. Dry it out and apply.

Oh I see. Have you tired pouring water into the pan? Is it possible there's a blockage in that drain fitting or drain line that's causing the water to leak out that corner? The pan should be water tight and if it's cracked replacing the coil is sometimes the only option.
I would start by taking off the pan fittings and confirming there's no debris in the way. Maybe it's partially plugged up with some gunk that's making the condensate fill up higher in the pan which is then allowing it to spill over. If all else fails to stop that leak, try the world famous flex seal!
