Title: Down flow A coil install
Post by: ronniethehoe on September 26, 2020, 04:40:16 PM
Looking for clarification for the following:
1.     furnace supplies 452 cfm on low cool and 756 cfm on high cool.  "A" coil approx 14x19.  1.5 ton for 40k furnace.

ADP coil manufacturer states that air face velocity over 350 is not recommended.  on high cool air velocity would be well beyond the recommended 350. (potential water carry over)

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all in advance

What's the ductwork sizing? Is there no way of getting the high speed down in cfm?

Thank you ,porcupinepuffer. Others have noted that the 2 stg furnace has an AC with single stage compressor. y1 at 42% and y2 at 100%. usually bridged for a !00% on a y1 call .Thank you again .
p.s. still working on it.
