Title: 313A Without an Apprenticeship?

Hello everyone, I am completing https://coned.georgebrown.ca/courses-and-programs/refrigeration-and-air-conditioning-systems-program  (https://coned.georgebrown.ca/courses-and-programs/refrigeration-and-air-conditioning-systems-program)program right now then will move onto gas 3 https://coned.georgebrown.ca/courses-and-programs/tssa-gas-technician-3.

can i get licensed as 313a without traditional apprenticeship? which jobs should i look for?

You'd have to challenge the test. I hear the 313a is a difficult one. You would have t prove 9000 hours of work experience in the related field first. So get those refrigeration hours in. There's a lot of info here about the 313d challenge. It's basically the same process.

I guess the big question would have to be....WHY?

What you learn in any college does not qualify you to be a licensed journeyperson, and yes, the CofQ is quite difficult. Challenges were basically meant for the old (older?) guys who had been working in the field for some time and had field experience.
