Title: Tubing through flooring
Post by: Samjohn on April 21, 2021, 07:06:43 AM
Hello.
Question- can copper tubing go through flooring in a residential setting? Or do i need to drop down with blk pipe and make connection with copper tubing below floor within flooring joists?
I can't seen to find code rule for this  :-\
Any direction for my question is greatly appreciated!

(feeding a branch line to main floor kitchen gas range, 20'run)

Yes, no issues.   Just make sure it then supported at the appliance so that it's unmovable when attaching with the appliance flex connection

Is there a code for any piping/tubing going through floor?

Only one I can think of is to have 2" of bare pipe after the threads thru the finished floor.

...... And gas connectors can not pass thru a wall or floor.

Sorry, not at my code book.   Don't have the code references.
