Title: Electrical outlet near HVAC venting outdoors
Post by: gary4116 on June 07, 2021, 07:05:43 PM
Hi Everyone
Looking to have an electrical outlet installed outdoors near my HVAC venting.
Since most of the basement is finished it's tight where the wall penetration can be.
Is there any distance requirements that the outlet must be from the vents?

Gary

There are no Codes in the B149.1-20 or in the OESC 27th Edition that I'm aware of.  I would just used the blue plastic sealed electric box and GFI plug.

Just keep it 1 meter away from the gas meter vent
