Title: Hvac drain assembly bag
Post by: organometallics on September 08, 2021, 03:27:39 PM
Hi, my Goodman furnace comes with this HVAC drain assembly bag with parts in it. Any idea what this is used for?

Has the furnace already been installed?  Some of that is not used on a upflow furnace install.  The cabinet caps, the longest drain tube, some gear clamps and the smallest black plastic piece are what we use on the upflow.  The other tubes are used when the furnace is installed horizontally.

yes, it has been installed 4 years ago when we purchased out home.

So its basically extra parts that I will likely never use?

Good because I need to use one of those screw clamps for something else, so now that it doesn't have that part!
