Mandatory Inspection of Gas (Natural Gas and Propane) Fired Residential Natural Draft
Boilers Equipped with a Draft Hood for 2006/2007 Heating Season.

I new this was coming. I had a boiler the other day that I hug the green tag on just in case this was re started.

Yeah I've been inspecting and doing combustion analyzation on all resi's for the last year, and the more you look the more you find, I checked one on friday that topped out the co on my meter! It is something that should be manditory I think..

We all know why those boilers are causing high Co. Lack or no maintenance at all. Most boilers that are causing this issue are copper finned boilers. Dam saleman or contractor installed it on a cast iron rad system with no bypass. Boiler's delta T is too low therefore causing condensation wich soots the copper fins. These boilers must be cleaned religiously every year. Keep your eyes out for these situations...... 8..
