My XP14 is about 4 years old, and have had NUMEROUS issues with it. It's "locked out" several times, causing excessive utility bills and is noisy (when it shuts off it sounds like you hit it with a hammer).
I had the most recent lockout in November, got it repaired on 12/11/ Then, it stopped working and has been running on auxiliary heat for the past month - the $600 elect bill alerted me >:(. In researching, it worked 1 day and then lost all the freon, causing the lock out. So just wondering - is it a coincidence this blew up 1 day after the last repair (reported "valve" issue then cause the lockout)??
