Title: York Air Handler 24VAC
Post by: lkenny on February 11, 2022, 07:45:17 PM
My supposed 24VAC is sitting at 27VAC.
Is that too high?
My control board just went up in smoke.

Usually there's a low voltage fuse to protect that side.  27V shouldn't be a problem.

It may be something like a 120V fan motor or circulation pump that is causing the board to blow.  Test the motor for a short or open winding.

Well, that is what happened, the low voltage 5Amp fuse blew. When i replaced it with an equivalent, the 16 pin chip on the York handler immediately smoked it's top.
