What should be the length of the drip leg?

Both a drip pocket and a dirt pocket shall be sized as follows:

a) The minimum depth of the pocket shall be either 3 in (75 mm) or equal to the internal diameter of the piping it serves, whichever is greater.

b) The diameter of the pocket shall be either NPS 2 or equal to the diameter of the piping it serves, whichever is less.

The wording was changed to indicate you can use a longer dirt pocket if you wanted to.
