Title: Senville weird issues , please help!
Post by: Newfiejeff on November 25, 2022, 06:25:59 PM
Hey guys nice to join you here.

I have 2 senville ductless minsplits and they are a 18,000 and 24,000 btu, two separate units .
I purchased the first one which was 18,000btu around April 3 to 4 years ago. Installed in myself and had a certified refrigeration guy come in and pull vacuum, etc and had all kinds of heat, outside temp maybe 4 to 5 celcius. So I never ready used it all until that fall when getting colder out. When the temps got below freezing it seemed I had to turn in all the way up and manually turn the fan on bust to get heat and it seemed ok. Thought that I how it worked as being a newbie to these. Go above freezing and set to 24c and it seemed ok, if it got cold that night then the next morning the room would be like on 17 cel. The fan in the morning would be just blowing light setting, follow me working fine.

Installed the second one the 24,000 btu and same install as first. I set the room temp on 21 or 22 and there would be all kinds of heat more than the 18,000 btu, it would cut in and cut out like it should. Keep in mind the temp coming from the inside unit on a just below freezing would maybe 105 or lower at the best with the thermostat on max and the fan manually on max overnight. Now when the outside temp goes above freezing she seems to be working maybe to 110 max. The larger mini split could spit out any time 125degrees regardless of the temp outside.

Now I thought to myself the 18k one is definelty not working. I called senville and nothing the best service for help. So over the last few years until this spring we replaced a magnetic thing on the outside unit, replaced the board outside, replaced all sensors inside and outside, removed all Freon and replaced with a slight little more added, also no kinks in the tubing.

So here I am with temps falling again. Result of all above is the fan when on auto will increase or decrease on it it's own depending on what the thermostat calls for. Max temp coming from the unit with above freezing can be 120+( never seen it before until this fall). Temps may come from the inside head to 105 when it's below freezing if lucky and the fan will go on max on its own. But if I change the thermostat is set to max and the fan set to high manually I may get a few more degrees if lucky. The other mini split most times I don't realize I have it and the room area is a constant temp.
