Hi folks. I'm trying to determine the maximum capacity of my gas meter. I'd like to install a 266Mbtu pool heater on top of my furnace, water heater, range and bbq which totals about 155Mbtu for a total of approx 420Mbtu. Can someone explain how to calculate meter capacity in btu for my metric meter?
That meter is good for approx 300 000 btuhs @ 7" wc.
The next size up is good for approx 600 000 at 7" wc.
With your furnace out of the equation, if you're still over 300 000 you'll have to get an upgrade.
