I left after three hours came back(cause I haven't moved into the house yet) the unit was still on. Come back two in the morning and the furnace motor is blowing but the AC unit is not. A tech came back Monday and said it's probably the float switch.
He finds that my drain line is clogged and changed it. He told me that should fix the problem. The unit is running I leave and go to work. Come back eight hours later and the same problem. Furnace motor is running but not the AC unit.
What could be the problem? And yes I paid a licensed HVAC company but this is frustrating and I want to be a bit knowledgeable when they come back. Please help and thank you.
You would have to detail exactly what you have for equipment. Model numbers help.
Are you in Ontario ??
If so, next time you call a service company get the techs name. Then go to skilledtradesontario.ca and see if this tech actually has a license and is current. If it's for heating, look for a TSSA# on the vehicle.
There are so many unlicensed companies out there, giving legit companies a bad rep.
Also, your question leaves a bit to be desired.
