Your competition called me again yesterday, with very negative comments and questions, probably still hoping to get my business. I made it clear that I had already made a deposit, and was waiting for audit and installation.
HE SAID THAT I SHOULD INSIST THAT YOU CHANGE THE WIRING FOR THE HEAT PUMP TO B/2 wiring. Safety issue.
Question. Wtf is b/2 wire? I asked if he ment 10/2 which makes sense and he insisted its b/2.
Am I missing ... something?
BX wire is the only thing I recognize but it's not approved for outdoors.
Maybe they wrote down 8/2 wire but then repeated it as B/2.
As long as the wire is sized according to the minimum circuit ampacity you will be fine.
It's stuff like this why I will never involve myself with retail work.
