Title: 308r to 308a
Post by: Gasfitter97 on August 27, 2023, 03:24:32 PM
I've recently started at a commercial company doing commercial tin and just been signed up as a 308a apprentice. I already had my low rise 308r. I'm wondering where that puts my in the apprenticeship. 2nd year or 3rd year maybe.curious if anyone else has done this before.

You would have your Level 1 and 2 and would need 4500 more work hours before you could challenge the 308A exam.

You would be a third year. Doing the apprenticeship you would likely still need to do an intermediate and advanced level in school for two separate terms.

If you challenged the residential then you still have to do basic. You don't get to skip schooling.

Yeah I challenged it 2 years ago I was mostly wondering if some of the 4500 hours that I needed for the 308r could go towards the 308a.

Also I want to do basic, intermediate, and advanced. I believe the c of q is very difficult for the 308a. More schooling would help!
