Title: Oil burner problem
Post by: Mikemrq on November 18, 2023, 05:56:18 PM
Have a nordyne oil burner in my mobile home. When I turn up the Thermostat the furnace comes on. After about a minute the furnace shuts off(flame goes out). About a minute later the blower comes on then the flame comes back on. Anyone have an idea on what's going on? I can't figure it out. I replaced the fan switch and limit switch and still doing it.

I would pull out the power burner and check the CAD cell and electrodes.  The CAD cell resistance should be between 300 and 1000 ohms.  There may be a problem with it or the flame itself.  You really should have a professional do a proper set up on the burner after everything has been adjusted.  Combustion test equipment is required to check the flue gas products.

100%
Especially if the reset button has been pushed a few times
