Title: Ducted Airconditioning and pipe work sizing
Post by: H1988 on December 19, 2023, 10:50:02 AM
Hi all, Hvac engineer from UK.

I have a question regarding indoor unit air flow sizing and pipe work sizing.

I've recently started to install ducted aircon units.I'm about to price a job up for ducted outlets in multiple rooms of a home.

My question..

If for example I have worked out the total heat/cooling load requirements of the rooms is 9kw. How can I ensure the air volume requirements will be sufficient enough to heat/cool the rooms down with a decent time frame. I.e the flow volume of air requirements.

What is it that I must look out for within the indoor fan blower unit? Recommendations of High static, Medium static or low?

Calculating the requirements, minimum-maximum Pipe dimensions for the specified indoor fan blower unit?

Any online calculation software or something I can download?

I'm looking at a Midea single split ducted air conditioner.

Many thanks

Harry
