Had my flame detector replaced a few years ago. Tech didn't use the same replacement part. Its a wider blade (not a pin) and has two wires (not one) which he attached to a White wire and a black. I think he kind of rigged it. I think its gone bad (tried cleaning with steel wool). Found actual replacement part. But what about the wiring. Is the white wire the sensor and the black a ground? What do I attach to the single input on the new sensor?
Thanks It's an oldd Goodman furnace.
You know what? I feel so stupid. The tech also replaced the ignitor! So I ended up cleaning the ignitor and just now did the flame detector, duh!
So all is well. Thank you so much for replying!
