really tired of my batteries dying in the middle of a setup are their any analog micron gauges out there. and if so are they any good.
What kind of micron gauge are you using? Is it a Yellow Jacket? They had abit of a design issue with the case on their older units. When you closed the case it would turn the gauge on and kill the battery. The new cases have a plastic bridge to protect the on/off switch. I used to just take the battery out when I was done.

That link will take you to the Cliplight homepage. They have a good analog, hoseless micron gauge for sale.
