What is the model of furnace and type of CSST being used?

Pretty certain csst connections are not considered unions as they are not the type of connections that can be loosened and tightened infinite amount of times.

Furnace installation manual usually asks for a ground joint union.
Csst connections are not ment to be a union

Done it in the past before. You need a proper union. No inspector lets this slide.
