Hi all, We just had a Trane S9V2 furnace and Venmar V130H65RT installed.
The HRV controller will make the furnace fan ramp up when choosing min, med, or high but I have to have the furnace fan set to on all the time for this to work.
If I set it to auto, the HRV will kick on but the furnace fan will not.
How should this be wired so the HRV controls the on/off and speed of the furnace?
Right now there are only 2 wires from furnace to HRV
Cheers
I believe that model of HRV requires 4 wires for the interlock.
Quote3.3.2 UNIT INTERCONNECTION WITH CENTRAL FORCED-AIR SYSTEM (R/C/G/GF)
These connections must be done if you want the unit to force the central forced-air system blower operation when ventilating.
NOTE: These connections are required for installation confi guration T-4. Refer to section 2.2 for more details.
You connect the 1st wire between the R terminal on the HRV and the R terminal on the furnace.
You connect the second wire between the C terminal on the HRV and the C terminal on the furnace.
You connect the 3rd wire between the GF terminal on the HRV and the G terminal on the furnace. Remove the G wire coming from the thermostat, that is already on the furnace G terminal, and marette it to the 4th wire from the HRV G terminal.
