Hi pll is there any way to write the 313d exam with out some one sigh my hours??
I think you need to have someone sign off on the hours.
QuoteYou need a licensed mechanic to sign you up as an apprentice, and then write off your 4500 hrs and challenge the exam for $100. You don't need to signup as an apprentice and then work 4500hrs. The licensed mechanic can write off hours that you worked on A/C equipment prior to becoming an apprentice.
You have to call the Ministry to get the proper paperwork, and to book the exam. The Ottawa office phone number is 613-731-7100. Just tell them you need a residential air conditioning mechanic supervisor's assessment of skill sets document, and you need the competency analysis profile form, to be filled out by your employer.
As far as I know things still work this way.
