Hello to all, just became a new member of this site, got a question no one seem to be able to give me a direct answer maybe some of you can help me out, the yearly boiler inspection is only valid during the heating season, what happen if a pool heater that is installed inside the house, does it still consider as a boiler? and does the yearly inspection valid for that?
No, a pool heater is not a boiler as far as Directors Order FS-072-06-R5 is concerned. You can download the order - Here (http://hvactechgroup.com/files/order/fs07206r5.pdf)
It only pertains to natural draft boilers under 300,000 Btus, installed with a draft hood serving no more the 2 families. TSSA would have to amend the order to include pool heaters.
This order expired May 1, 2010.
You can email TSSA,
Fuels_Technical_Services@tssa.org
Or call TSSA technical services directly,
(416) 734-2726
I'll have to check on Monday, but there are some rules regarding indoor pool heaters.
Thankx for the quick answer
