Title: Need Help With 313D
Post by: nimnux on January 12, 2011, 12:19:07 AM
I've tried 313D exam two times with 60 & 65 marks. I'm a G2 with 9 years of in field experience in HVAC, repair and installation.I read the practice questions here + Refrigeration & air conditioning technology book inside and out but I failed two times. It's really challenging. They twist the answers.I'm going to do it again soon. Anybody has any advice, book or practice questions that could help me pass. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you challenging the exam?  Your scores aren't bad if that's the case.  3rd time's a charm, you'll get the 70%.

You could take a crash course from www.himark.ca

Read up on TXVs, I hear they've added a bunch of these questions to the exam.

You're right though, the wording is confusing.  Always pick the most correct answer.
Also I hear the exam is easier in outlying areas vs in the city.  See if you can write the exam at a different location.  I wrote in Cornwall but live in Ottawa.

Good luck!

The himark book for the course is alright, the practice exam on here is ok too.  I did the himark course and the teacher taught 313A stuff instead of D and none of it was on the exam... waste of money.
