Title: Resetting blower
Post by: handyed on January 30, 2011, 05:05:06 PM
I have an older  carrier furnace gas heater
The blower motor overheated, and now blower just
runs but furnace wont ignite.

Last time it happened the tech said he hit a reset
somewhere on or around the motor, but i cant locate it

any help would be appreciated

Usually the primary limit will open if the fan motor stops, but it resets automatically.  Have you tried turning the furnace power off and back on?  The system could be in a lockout.
Any manual reset safety is important, and should not be reset unless you're sure everything is safe.
You would have to post the furnace model number, in order to help you further.
