Title: B-149.1-10
Post by: johnnymcc on June 11, 2011, 03:38:45 PM
Anyone have any insight when this code will be adapted in Ontario???

From the CSA Website:

The definitive resource for gas and propane industry workers across Canada, the B149 Code Series 2010 edition reflects the latest advances in technology and corresponding safety requirements. It has been reviewed by regulatory authorities across Canada, and will be adopted into law in every Canadian province and territory throughout 2010.

The B149 series provides important guidance on how to do your job safely, from handling and storage of natural gas and propane, to safe and effective installation of related appliances and equipment, and more.

Please note: Some provinces, including Ontario, have not yet adopted the 2010 Code. Please check with your local regulator for details.

The B149.1S1-07 code we use in Ontario has a lot of the amendments found in the B149.1-10.  It replaced the B149.1-05.

TSSA said the B149.1-10 should be adopted in Ontario sometime in 2012.
